Review of Tate (Temptation #5) by Ella Frank

4 stars

William Tate MorrisonThe man who came into my life and turned my entire world—and me—on its ass.

Logan Mitchell has always been a man with a plan.
One for work. One for his relationship. And one for his life. Which is exactly the way he liked it—until recently.
Now with words like marriage and weddings floating around his head, Logan’s plans have suddenly changed course, and where they want him to go has him feeling somewhat distracted.

Tate Morrison knows Logan better than anybody else—or so he thinks. So when his lawyer is finding it hard to sleep at night, he chalks it up to the craziness that has recently descended on their lives.
Never in a million years would he guess what’s really on Logan’s mind.

We want to start off by saying – squeeeeeeeee!  We love love love love us some Tate and Logan , they are top of our m/m couples, and we LOVE them! – and now that is off our chest, let’s talk about this latest in the Temptation Series by Elle Frank – Tate.

Tate has all the great, wonderful, fantastic things that make up a classic Logan and Tate story; steamy sex, great banter, schmoopy love and a fun group of family and friends.  And just like the last book in the Temptation Series, this is set 4 years later, and close to the end of the last book.  It is really nice to have a continuation of their story, see how they are growing and their commitment as a couple.

So one of our major complaints with the continuation of this series is there isn’t much going on, and that is a little true in Tate as well. However, Tate really starts delving into struggles everyone has in regular relationships, when life is happening; arguments, dealing with family, pressures at work.  And not to give any spoilers but, boy do they have some real life knocking at the door. But true to their relationship, it is nice to see that even with life struggles these guys haven’t lost their passion for each other.

During Tate we also get to visit with our favorite other characters.  Cole and Rachel are back with their brood of kids, and Robbie is back with his smarty mouth and his ice-cold hatred to Priest, the newest lawyer at Logan’s firm.  We even get a cameo from Evelyn, ah, Logan’s mother is a piece-of-work!  It is such a fun group, and we enjoy the relationships that have built over the past 4 books.

But the real gem of Tate is the relationship of Logan and Tate.  Man, Ella Frank can write some steam.  If you have read the others in the series, this installment does not disappoint.  It is sexy, sensual, indecent, carnal, and SO steamy. We could go on.  Logan and Tate are so in love with each other, and it sings through the pages of this book.  We feel their love and their dedication to their life, we see them grow into being, well, settled.

We might be biased, because who doesn’t love the Temptation series by Ella Frank, but we really enjoyed Tate.  This book felt like a cozy blanket and it was so easy to forget the rest of the day and cuddle down with our two best men, Logan and Tate.
